How CUCO handles your data during the beta.
CUCO stores the information you give it to plan meals: your household setup (name, family size, food cultures, budget and time preferences, goals, and general health considerations), your pantry items, generated meal plans, grocery lists, and meal feedback. If you create an account, this data is stored securely in the cloud against your account; if you use CUCO without signing in, it stays in your browser's local storage on your device.
If you create a CUCO handle and join or share a household, other members of that household can see the household data their permissions allow (such as the pantry or meal plan). Your handle and display name are visible to users who invite you or share a household with you. Your email address is not shown to other users.
When you generate an AI meal plan, CUCO sends your household context and pantry list to an AI provider (OpenAI) from CUCO's server to create your plan. CUCO does not send your email address or account credentials with those requests.
CUCO does not sell your data, does not show ads, and does not share your information with third parties beyond the service providers needed to run the product (hosting, database, and AI generation).
CUCO does not provide medical advice. Please do not enter private clinical records, prescriptions, medication instructions, or other sensitive medical documents into CUCO. General health considerations (like "vegetarian" or "managing blood pressure") are fine — detailed medical records are not what CUCO is built to store.
You can clear your CUCO data at any time from Settings. Deleting your household removes its pantry, meal plans, grocery lists, and feedback. This is a beta product — data handling will keep improving, and this page will be updated as it does.
